An innovative new sports betting contest at FanDuel Sportsbook is
The free-to-play Keep The Cash game is available now on the FanDuel Sportsbook app. And since it’s free, it’s accessible nationwide. You just need a FanDuel Sportsbook account to start playing.
$1 million to start this FanDuel Q&A game
FanDuel starts every player in the game off with a $1 million bankroll.
Then it asks players a new “yes or no” question every Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and twice on Sundays. That means five questions each week.
Plus, a new question is posted as soon as the previous one is locked in. So, there’s always one available.
Players distribute their entire bankroll balance between the YES and NO answers and then take whatever they put on the correct result onto the next question.
If they don’t like a question, they can always skip it.
It’s 20 questions, sports betting style
However, each player must answer 20 questions over the course of the 2019 NFL football season. FanDuel promises to let all players keep anything that’s left in their bankroll at the end of 20 questions.
A sample question provided by FanDuel Sportsbook for marketing purposes offers some idea of the kind of questions to expect. It read:
“Will Tom Brady throw five touchdown passes against the number 1 ranked Seahawks defense this Sunday?”
If this were a real Keep The Cash sports betting contest question, FanDuel would then ask players to use a slider to split their remaining balance between yes and no.
Then, FanDuel asks players to lock in the split.
Once the outcome of the question is clear, any cash a player put on the correct side is the cash they’ll take into the next question. Players lose the rest.
Once again, any money a player still has left after 20 questions is theirs to keep.
FanDuel’s Keep The Cash strategy
One could conc
However, players who think they can game the system will end up disappointed. Betting 50% on either side through 20 questions will net less than $0.25.
FanDuel Sportsbook has even provided a basic strategy guide for Keep The Cash players.
It says that how you distribute your cash for each question should depend on how confident you are in your answer:
- If you’re certain: Put all of your cash that side. If you’re right, you’ll keep it all. But remember, if you’re wrong, you’ll lose it all.
- If you’re uncertain: Split the difference by putting some cash on ‘Yes,’ some on ‘No.’ That way no matter what happens, you’ll still have some left.
- If you have no idea: Just skip the question! There are five questions every week giving you plenty of time to answer 20.
Players can even change their cash distribution on a question right up until the event the question surrounds is about to start.
