Win and they are almost in. Lose, and they’re out.
The Philadelphia Eagles did what they had to do in a 10-point win over the Washington Redskins to move to 7-7 Sunday.
Even though the Dallas Cowboys came back to life in a 44-21 win over the Los Angeles Rams and moved to 7-7 as well, the Eagles can still capture the NFC East crown and make the playoffs by winning their final two games of the season.

Playing for all the marbles
Of course, that journey begins at home against those very Cowboys this Sunday, Dec. 22. Kickoff is at 4:25 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles can’t clinch the division on Sunday, but a win sets up Philadephia to do that against the New York Giants on Dec. 29. A loss would mean the Cowboys win the NFC East and the Eagles are out of the playoff picture.
Win both games, and the Eagles are in as the No. 4 seed in the NFL Playoffs. Then, they will host a wild card game.
However, beat the Cowboys and drop the Giants game in two weeks, and the Cowboys can earn the postseason berth with a win against the lowly Redskins in the final week of the NFL regular season.
No matter how you slice it, this incarnation of the classic Eagles versus Cowboys NFC East rivalry game is a big one.

Eagles vs. Cowboys history
There have been 121 Eagles-Cowboys games in this historic NFC East rivalry.
Dallas leads the series with a 69-52 record, and they are 3-1 in the postseason against Philadelphia as well.
The playoff implications make this week’s game is as close to a playoff game as a regular-season game can be.
The Cowboys’ Week 7 dismantling of the Eagles marked the fourth win in a row in the series for Dallas. In fact, the Cowboys have won seven of the last 10 Eagles-Cowboys games.
Although, the last Eagles victory in the series was a convincing one. Philadelphia won 37-9 in Dallas back in November 2017 by running the ball down the Cowboys’ throats.
Those who can’t make it to Lincoln Financial Field can watch the game on Fox and bet on it at all the top NJ sportsbooks.
